Raffaele Santi from the French company Comesa had the chance to talk to plenty of visitors. “We presented and introduced our products. We finalized current discussions with our existing clients, so we hope to close contracts next week as a result of this METEC. Generally, we think that this event is a great meeting point for our industry”.

Tuoma Karjalainen (left), SR-Instruments, and Hannu Jokinen (right), VisiCaMet, both from Finland, share a booth at METEC. “We are positively surprised by the high amount of visitors. We had very professional ones at the stand and we were really active. They were interested in our brand new products: a measurement system for processing mines and a rollmark defection detector.”

Cristina Bossi of Officine Montorfano from Italy has had great business at METEC. “We even made some contracts already with some clients from the steelwork industry. We are part of a joint stand here with other three companies and that is really worth it since such a joint booth attracts a lot of attention. Our company attended METEC already 2007 and the next time in 2011 we will definitely come back to Düsseldorf again”.

Christopher Messina from Rad-Con is very satisfied with THERMPROCESS. “We had a good attendance at the stand”, says the businessman from Ohio, USA. "Generally, we aim for longer term connections, and thus we discussed a lot of projects that have been in the pipeline. Most customers asked about our latest technology concerning special furnaces.”

Cem Fadillioglu from Anadolou Metalurji in Ankara says that METEC is a trendsetter: “The market is tough and we always have to find more complex and more efficient products. We have to follow the new developments and these can be found here on in Düsseldorf! We also had very good requests.”

“This has been my third GIFA and this year we had more stand area than ever before", says Dr Eric Salmon of Superior Graphite from Sweden. "And that was well worth it since we experienced good approaches with our clients that may result in future business. Great!”

Jochen Krampe (right) from the German Aerospace Center made interesting contacts: “Since we are concerend with research we constantly look for partners and cooperations. This is supposed to result in joint licensing or in the formation of a new enterprise. We had a lot of promising meetings at GIFA and many interesting inquiries”.

Jens Giering from the company Eldec was impressed by how international the trade fair THERMPROCESS is. “The business concerned with heating systems has become increasingly international. This was very evident at this trade fair”.
